 | | | Outdoor Activities For Young People (2006) 04:29 I made this video quite a while ago in 2006 and was one of my first videos as you can see by it's poor technical quality. It is a mix between a promotional more...video and archive memory of my time with two special groups. The first is called the 'Green Team' which is a conservation group for young people aged 14 - 25. It offers day projects in and around the Lothians in Edinburgh. The group is ran by a brilliant group of leaders and I really recommend anyone to join up as leader or volunteer. They run day projects and residential projects away for two days and an annual week long trip, all optional. I have been a member from 2006 to present although not yet in 2008 as I've been too busy. The other group is called 'go4It' which gives young people activities to do during the summer, again I highly recommend it. less Added: Aug 5, 08 Views: 14 Category: People |
| | Golden Eagles Arrive In Edinburgh (2008) 09:00 Ahead of their eagerly anticipated appearance at this summer?s showpiece Edinburgh Military Tattoo, 100 musicians from Southeast Missouri State University more...Marching Band, The Golden Eagles gathered at Edinburgh?s City Chambers Quadrangle, to honour the Scottish Capital?s first citizen, Lord Provost George Grubb, at 11.00am on Monday, 28 July.
Lord Provost Grubb, Her Majesty?s Lord Lieutenant of Edinburgh and Chair of the Board of the Edinburgh Military Tattoo experienced a little something of the flavour of the Golden Eagles irresistible mix of music and percussion, for which they are famed.
This elite collegiate band will bring a touch of pizzazz to proceedings as well as providing an early glimpse of what is likely to be one of next month?s star-turns at the 59th Edinburgh Tattoo (1-23 August). less Added: Aug 5, 08 Views: 99 Category: News |
| | | 'Scour' 90 Second Film (2008) 01:39 A media rumba.com competition triggers a moment of imagination as young aspiring filmmaker, Alan sits up in his bed armed with a notebook and pen, writes more...down some idea in the form of a shot list. The following day, he grabs his Hi8 camera and gets his shots in the can and then spends hours of time in the editing suite with cups of tea until he comes up with a 90 second film. The film originally had an alternate ending but the time constraint changed the format of the whole film. This version features young Alan going through his daily routine of life; getting up, eating and having fun. The concept sounded boring at first but I decided that was the challenge, to make something simple interesting. Judges Opinions: Ceri: Scour showed promise and probably took quite a bit of time to put together.... Aida: Good effort here, I liked how the filmmaker took the tedium of his everyday and framed it like an explorer's log. Felt like a completed expression of thought within the limits of time frame. less Added: Aug 5, 08 Views: 11 Category: Entertainment |

| | | Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2007 Director Cut (2007) 09:43 In August 2007, I went around Edinburgh during the Festival Fringe with my Hi8 camera capturing the 2007 events. As I'm a student, I could not afford more...to go to events such as the international festival so produced my own program of events which were all free. The Fringe has started up another scheme called Free Festival which has a website displaying a list of shows which all cost nothing. On my festival trips, I went to the Royal Mile for watching street performers, attended the Fringe Sunday based in the meadows, the International Game Festival and watched a musical display in Edinburgh's Botanic Gardens. less Added: Jun 16, 08 Views: 21 Category: Travel & Places |
| | Music In The Botanics (2007) 09:25 As pat of my trip around the fringe festival events, one of them took me into Edinburgh's Botanic Gardens; it was the first time I'd been before and was more...blown away by the scenery and will be going back at some-point. This video is a musical tribute to the Zawose family who play their unique style of music. less Added: Jun 16, 08 Views: 11 Category: Music |

| Friday, March 7, 2008 at 2:45 PM | | Hi everyone, a quick update, As you'll know, I'm extremely busy, too much to be honest and my list of to do videos is beginning to look like a release calender similar to the ones you would find in HMV lol. I'm bursting with idea and for the next few months, I will be playing catch-up with all my video work before moving onto too many new projects. I am aiming to Direct a film called 'Marooned' which has been in development for over 18 months and I haven't found the time to begin more work on it. more...
This week has been tough as I have Directed my first drama which isn't as easy or even difficult as it looks, many nights I've spent up late replying to emails and trying to manage the production. When the film is finished, It will be a treat to watch. Everything so far, is going very well.
See you soon everyone, feel free to leave comments, My page hasn't been getting much traffic so I'm danger of being a mystery being. less | |
