Saw your question from the other video. I think the reason that they didn't pack you again is that they want the wound to heal from the inside out. It would be hard to do that with the gauze still in there. It hasn't been draining anymore has it?

Nope, no more draining. I'm doing really well now. There is no pain at all anymore. But there is still a large knot in the fatty tissue, below my skin. I guess that's normal. My problem is that I'm impatient. I'm just going to have to give it a while.

Well,I'm glad you are healing up.It's a pretty sensitive area to have something happen.A heating pad? Hmm never heard that one,but then that is one area that my husband hasn't injured yet.:)

Work was pretty good. I zoned out a few times because of the pain killers, but otherwise I was fine.
I'm going to try it tonight without pain pills. Maybe I'll actually get some work done, lol.

So you're really valued at your workplace.. that's a good thing to know! I hope you're able to cope with your first shift back since the hospital. Just a question re: the heat pad? I would have thought keeping the area cool would have helped keep inflammation more...

I don't know much about that sort of thing myself, but it was the Dr. that said to use heat. And it sure did make it feel better; I can say that.
