what do you think about the um 2008 V2S-250R motorcycles as a first bike.

So you shouldnt even touch 5th and 6th and it will set the valves correctly? Also you said in the vid do each rpm range for a few miles like what are you refering to?The rpm ranges in the vid?Or 1-3000,3-6,6-9,9-12,12-15.Oh and thanks for the vid this   more...

Do each RPM level or range for several miles. You don't have to be that precise. It's all a mattter of progressively thrashing your bike to redline, and seating those rings the full length of the cylinder.

so how do you do this method on a super sport 600? redline on one of those are around 150-160mph in 6th gear i was thinking of puting it on a track stand and doing it on that for saftey reasons but it proly wouldnt be the same

You should not do it in 6th gear, 3rd or 4th. And also, it needs to be under "load". You can't suspend the rear wheel. Remember, its RPM and load, not speed that counts here.

Is this true for all bikes like say...a Ninja 250?

Posted Jul 12, 07 by MKCmobile
not only all bikes...all motors period.

Posted Jul 3, 07 by MKCmobile
True! Most people read the manual and think they should stay below certain rpm levels for 1000miles or so...bull****. You have only 1 shot at seating rings as tightly as possible the length of the cylinder. If they don't seat properly, you have to rehone   more...

The Break in is soo IMPORTANT! I have never had a bike need work or break.. including my 52 Pan I built!
I've even passed up good deals on a few bikes recently because they were used and although they didn't have a bunch of miles who knows how they were   more...
