Nice shades of blue, green and purple. Your modern quilting methods are a lot different than when I used to watch my grandma in 1950's.

Nan, I think methods change as your purposes change. Our grandmothers quilted for utility and speed to get them done before winter set in, mainly. Now it's an art form! :-)

So glad you haven't fallen off the earth..LOL
Such a beautiful quilt. I love the design and stitching.
My grandma used to quilt and now my sister has continued the tradition. I really don't have a knack for that sort of thing but I love to look at them.

Thanks for your comments, Suz. This project has been what I call a "life altering" experience for me. I have Margaret to thank for her inspirations. Hope you are following the vids about her quilts.
Hugs!

Hey Lil! It has been awhile and I was beginning to wonder about you, so I'm glad you posted this. I think I mentioned this in a past comment, but my grandmother was a quilter. I often saw her working on her top pieces, but I never saw the framing process

she often referred to and I've never been able to visualize that part of the making of a quilt.
Very nice. I highly approve of your color selection.

Unfortunately no. My sister inherited them, and one day when she was letting them air dry on a clothesline, someone stole them. I only hope they appreciate the treasure they have.

I sure have missed all of you. Just can't pull myself away from the quilt. Nice that you had a grandmother who quilted. Do you have one of her quilts?
Hugs!
