Drive a nail into the end of an old broomstick...pre drill under size of the nail diameter...cut off the nail head...sharpen with grinder or good old concrete...Not too sharp though...make the end kind of rounded... cut broomstick to size.
We have those more...

I agree with Sujah... where I live, there would be "spike wars" on the playgrounds.

Of course, I could use one... My front lawn is a cheeseburger away from the local McDonald's...at least, that's where the wrappers end up. :-)
