I started shooting at age 4, that's right FOUR…. I am 28 now, I have never killed any one, robbed anyone, nothing. At a young age if there was a gun at my friends house I knew to stay away from it and/or (if I had to) check and make sure it was safe.

I knew to always keep it in a safe direction and never point it at any one. I am very happy my Dad had me shooting at a young age and I am very happy to see this father take the time to properly train his young boy. Thanks to fathers like these, there are people in the world that can own and operate guns in a fun and safe manner.

Genocide is a much better alternative isn't it you gun control morons! Liberals, you stand for nothing and fall for everything, this should be ok as far as your thinking goes. You should accept this as you do with homosexuality, abortion and everything,

It is very true people kill, not guns. Now think of how much guns can HELP you kill. I don't think a person set on doing harm with medieval swords would be able to kill tens of people in minutes? Safety is great, but this video shows LACK of safety.

I'd love to see no guns in say America. Lets see their "war on terrorism" with bows and arrows. I'd hate to see that kid when he's in his "I hate you. i wish you were dead" stage. After you refused to buy him a gun for his 6th birthday.
"McCrory" has the right idea.
"rbrb" That's freedom :O we're proud of it.

This guy is doing the right thing. My son was 5 when I started in law enforcement, he was curious about my weapon and after I showed it to him, how it worked, how it was loaded and unloaded, and let him shoot it, his curiosity was resolved and he wanted

I don't see a problem here, the father held the gun, there was no chance it could go wrong. He was simply familiarizing his child with guns. This is a damn good father and a true American! Freedom is a great thing.

Another observation i would like to make is the typographical and phonetic errors I see in the comments below. I read where someone calls the people FOR teaching children to shoot a bunch of "dumbass red neck parents" when it's those for this teaching

method who seem to know how to capitalize sentences and correctly express what they are trying to share with others without typos, dropped letters, or completely misspelled words.
"Dumb ass" is correctly spelled with two words, while "redneck" is one, by the way (seen in comments under "Baby Rambo" posting of this video).

I wasn't much older than this when my father taught me how to shoot a gun. He took me to a professional outdoor range where we shot at milk jugs filled with water and whole watermelons. He did this for a VERY good reason, and I will always thank him
more...
for doing so.
My father was the sharp shooter for the S.W.A.T. team when I was a baby. We always had guns around the house when I was a child. They were never loaded, and always out of reach until I learned how to climb and use keys and reach door knobs. No matter how hard a parent tries, nothing is out of reach of a child who really wants something bad enough. As I said, even when I was old enough to reach them, they were never loaded. HOWEVER, if by some odd chance he left one loaded one day and I found it, he wanted to make DAMN SURE that I knew what could happen if I messed with it. The watermelon we shot at was the representation of our heads were we to ever use a firearm unsupervised.
To this day, i believe my father made the right decision in teaching me to shoot guns at an early age. It was always supervised, and I grew to have a passion for target shooting. He may not have made ALL of the right decisions raising me, but he and my mother did the best that they could. This was one of the greatest gifts he could have ever given me - the respect for deadly force. Now I'm studying to be a California Highway Patrol Officer, all because of my Father.
If taught properly, this is an invaluable lesson the child will most likely never forget, even at this early age.

There is NOTHING bad about this. You Anti-Gun idiots dont realize that if Good people dont have and know how to use guns then only Criminals, Police, and the Military will have them...and you should sure as hell not feel safe with those options. This
more...
kid is going to have guns in his life and he'll know how to use them as a second nature...so he'll be in control of his gun usage, wont abuse them b/c he'll respect them, like me, and he'll likely be a master marksman. So all of you bleeding heart fukwads that want to get rid of guns, this little kid or his dad might save your life one day. And for all you know he might join the military for the good of the people.
And for you anti-gun-carry people...if good people dont carry guns legally, that will leave criminals to carry illegally with no one but law enforcement to challenge them.
Criminals break the law, its what defines them as criminals. Not allowing people to carry legally is a big mistake. I have to have a license to carry a concealed weapon, legally, but I guarantee you that you pass up 10 criminals carrying an illegal weapon every day while walking or driving, doing your business.
VT & Columbine wouldnt have happened like they did if there wasnt a rediculous federal law keeping teachers and school staff from carrying guns on campus. I'm a librarian for a University, I've been assaulted and harrassed outside of work by gangsters, while I walk to my car, and we'd had rapes, armed robberies, and students put in the hospital because of these thugs...they are all still at large, and if I carry a gun to campus for protection I'll go to FEDERAL PRISON for 5-15 years minimum.
You need to get a brain check if you think thats ok.
Worst Dad Award my ass. Jerks!

I am not as much of a "gun freak" as I am a freak for the constitution which is under assault by stupidity and bleeding heart liberals, as well as neo-cons.
Its not about crime rates, its not about military shoot outs, and its not about anything you're
more...
talking about...you are missing the point, its about our rights and responsibilities.
Yes, I'm sorry but again you're wrong...Drugs addicts DO care about my .45, and no...they will not ignore it, they will move on because even a worthless loser crack addict loves life enough to keep it.
I have never pulled my gun on anyone, and I hope to never have to. If the time comes when I do, I will protect my life, or the lives of others, with utmost dedication and conviction. My family, and my life are sacred above all others, but I will protect all others with equal conviction because all lives are sacred and no criminal has the right to take them.
I never said anything about drugs being related to crime, and I never said 90% about anything...so again you're making up stuff for the sake of argument.
If a kid steals his parents gun, or someone else's, they are then a criminal, and criminals do what criminals want to do, and we should have the right to protect ourselves from criminals when they cause problems for us.
No its not overkill, and its not like he shoots 24/7, there is plenty of time to play with cars and barbies and hide and seek...and all that jazz. Nothing wrong with being raised in a diverse environment.
I'm done commenting, so lie away to try to prove your point...I've stated mine repeatedly.
This dad shouldnt be disrespected by having the "Worst Dad Award" tag on that video when he's doing everything right and responsibly when it comes to teaching a young child how to fire a gun. A gun that we as Americans have a right, and responsibility, to own and use via our Second Amendment in the Constitution of the United States of America.

Maybe I explaned my self badly since you're missing the point there. I know minor can't own a gun, but that doesn't mean they can't get one easily. Steal one from their parents. And no, I don't know how bad the crime rates are there, I just know they
more...
are dropping but the rates still are sad reasing. What comes to the movies and stuff RDH reffers at, it's to bad but I've had first hand experience and most media based info comes from your own news. And some of my friends live in pretty bad areas. I do know that gun does scare people off, but tell that to a drug addict, I doubth he fears your .45.
What I mean by freely obtainable weapons is the black market. Alltho they do cost but then again, those guns are untracable most of the time. Knowing what gun can do don't help much, kids are kids, they don't have a good the concept of right and wrong yet.
As I've said earlier, you wouldn't have the need to carry a gun if drugs, that are involved 90% of the crimes where gone and some social caps where smaller.
Constitutionlover sounds like a gun freak who seem to think he won't have second thoughs if he shoots someone. I wish you never have to. Even in the conflict of some sort. Pulling the trigger is one thing, living with it is another.
But it seem we have side stepped from the issue at hand quite a bit anyway. Back to that kid in the film. Firstly I doubth that kid has any idea what that black heavy thing is. And he has no glue what it does. I mean that kid can barely walk yet. Isn't that a bit of a over kill to try to teach kid of his age to shoot guns, what I mean is let kids be kids, time for guns and shooting comes later. He should be playing with toy cars etc... still, not practise shooting. And when the time comes he should be asked does he want to. His opinion hasn't been asked. And correct me if I'm wrong but he shouldnt be there in the first place anyway?
What comes to me, I've had my fair share of the action in UN. And when you say I have no idea what I'm talking about you are off track quite a bit at that assumption. I've been in a shootout countless times and I know how it feels. Looking down the sight at your target trying not to think its a human beeing at the other side trying to do the same to you.
It's easy to swing your guns around to scare people, I'm sure it does have nice effect, but in the end of the day, that doesn't help on the long run much. More guns you have more guns criminals will need to feel safe. If you haven't

You obviously have no idea what you're talking about Alyxlyon. 1st...Kids arent legally allowed to carry guns in any state. Only young Criminals do. Some states allow it at 17, most 18-21, and you have to be 18-21 to purchase a handgun after you pass
more...
a background check.
Second. Criminals -do- give a fuck, they carry guns for 2 reasons, to perpetrate crimes, and because they fear for their lives. There is no other reason for a criminal to carry a weapon. Its been proven that when citizens carry guns, legally, especially when they "open carry", that is they carry a gun unconcealed, it is a crime deterrent. Not many people -really- want to die...much less to die for $20 that someone may or may not have when a criminal wants to rob them.
Third, People who would -legally- carry a gun are very unlikely to be in a situation, outside of an organized crime event, where they would have to face multiple people with guns. Unless they are an officer of the law, this is unlikely to ever happen. And, just so you know...the .45 I carry around holds 14 rounds and it only takes 1 to kill 1-2 people, I could possibly take them all out and still have more than half a clip left...I am a master marksman, and I'm very fast on my feet, its hard to hit someone when they are moving. I'd rather have my .45 when I face 3-6 gun toting criminals than no gun at all.
I've never seen a place where people are given free guns, period, so I dont know where you pulled that comment from.
I've traveled around various places in the world, multiple countries, and if I ever find one thats better than the US I'll move there.
If you're raised around guns you dont need to shoot someone to know what they do...you see it all of your life, especially if you're raised around hunters.
It would be unfortunate if the situation with the fake gun arose, but it has before and the law is on the side of the person who is under the impression that they are defending themselves. God forbid the kid had a real gun and the decent person didnt have a gun and it was decent person being buried.
If a redneck got drunk and pulled a gun and killed someone out of anger he'd be put in prison for life or executed. People with a brain can usually avoid fighting unless they have to defend themselves against unreasonable attackers. I'm a boxer and muay thai kickboxer...if I punch out of anger someone I go to Prison, just like if I had a firearm. Its considered assault with a deadly weapon.

I'll make this quick because I know I'll get more "angry" comments, just to amuse fellow readers. You point out how criminals carry illegal weapons, well I can understand your concerne about that just fine, but what lead to that in the first place? (I'm
more...
not going to answer to that tho, I get my head blown off lol). So lets go back to the guns and kids, lad takes his dad's gun to school, some nut drug addict attacks him on the school grounds. BOOM he uses the gun and kills the other kid. End of that story. Yes I'm anti-gun-carry person when it comes to the fact that people carry guns all over. Ofc I then again understand that guns give feeling of safety, but I doubth the criminal minds there give a fuck if you happen to have a gun. Theres always a bigger gun there. You with your pistol vs 3 - 6 automatics really dont make a difference. Sure, lets give everyone free guns and see what happends, of right, we've already seen it. ^^
Since I'm not from US I can freely say, you guys live in hell on earth. And we see that everyday.
Lets assume that the kid in the video grows a bit, he still doesn't have a good idea of what's wrong and what isn't. He owns a gun, has licence but doesn't have a glue what is right. Even tho he knows how to use a gun doesn't mean he knows what it does. When he shoots the thing at target he just goes ooh, geee, it blew, HOW cool is that. Hey lets try what it does to a real person..... And by the time he realizes what hes done the accident has already happend. I've heard kids who actually know how to use a gun do that jsut because they don't know the dangers what gun brings within.
Here's another one, kid at a street walks at you, pulls a gun and aims, you draw your own and shoot him, later you discover that the gun that kid had was plastic. OWNED!
Some gun addicted redneck gets him self dead drunk, gets into a fight and pulls his gun and shoot. (It can easily happen I bet.) When guns are available, you use them just like that.
Miliraty, now thats an interesting aspect. Take a look on what is going on at Iraq, take a long look. Your "soldiers" dies there for what? So that you can walk freely on your streets? Right after US pulls the troops out Iraq will fall into a civil war, some new dictator raises to power and once again it all starts all over. Reminds me of Soviet Union fighting against Afgans. It lasted years. All I can say to that is tough luck, go home to lick your wounds.
Parents should raise their kids so that th
