I iz never sure wai hoomans do anything. But it iz good she came to you. Iz hard fur older aminals to find a permanent place.

These things do happen for a reason. You all needed Nessie after Sadie passed. Nessie is a gift, just like Sadie was. So good to see her fitting in well :D
