Its a horrible practice. No matter the custom, i saw Steve Irwin in India saying things againest the practice and he bought three of them before they were defanged to save them from this cruelty, imagine having your teeth cut out your gland cut out and more...

baby never in danger snake has mouth sewn shut is a custom in those parts by snake charmers and she dies in about 3 months of inanition

Fair cobras in India have no fangs, common practice is the remove the fangs and teeth. Also, they have their glands removed thankfully. However, I'd be ticked if I still had this guy tagging me upside the head repeatedly, while parents just filmed more...
