Looks like it got kind of windy down in the flatlands last weekend. We got it up here too. I heard warning sirens three times on Sunday, but nothing touched the ground. This has been a big year for tornados.

You stay safe as well - the tornadoes are all over the place this year, very active season. California, Colorado - in additioin to the usual suspects of the whole freakin midwest. At least we have a few days of decent weather coming up!

i wud have wanted to tuck tail and drive to the other side of the country

i guess the birds going towards the clouds and not away from the clouds was good sign

That feeling is there - you want to be anywhere else, but the area of warning is so wide by necessity that it's a bad idea to just take off, too!!

We had horrible storms on June 6, 7, and 8, and on the 8th a woman was killed about a mile down the road from me. SisterNan was here visiting and we took shelter in the only inside room, a bathroom. But, she insisted I grab the Baileys so we wouldn't more...

A mile is way too close - so glad you are ok! Also glad the Bailey's was ok!
Note to self - get some Baileys and put it in my closet!
