That was great Bob.
I really like the editing part. I am still a rookie but getting better as I go along.
I used to try to edit with the camera as I filmed, now I get lots of footage and work on the story line and effects with the computer

One rule of thumb that I use is, "how close is my finished product, to something I've seen in the movies or tv, that gets the big bucks?"Aim yourself in that direction and you can't go wrong. Of course, new technologies and advances in movie making are

constantly being thought up and used. Who knows - you may come up with the next one! Take your time with your shots, that camera ain't a shotgun, it's a paintbrush. It's a lot easier to edit out too much than to not have enough. It's not always important to capture the entire conversation, unless you're doing a training video. Facial expressions, actions, and how the shot is framed, is more important than a talking head. I love to walk about with my shots, because that gives your video the third dimension that is missing with a two dimensional medium. The camera I used back in'91 had a built-in lens stabilizer that floated, that helped give a walking shot it's smoothness. What with all kinds of external hardware available now, that effect should be easier (and less expensive) than before. Producing videos that you'd be proud of is like the question - How do you get to Carnegie Hall - answer - PRACTICE - PRACTICE - PRACTICE.....- have a good one Bruce - Bob
