It's illegal here. But it's not something they usually enforce. I don't mind it....anything that makes you more noticeable also increases saftey.

Getting someone's attention while driving a vehicle is a bad idea. My friend and I have had accidents similar to yours. He was waving at some girls playing soccer at school and rear-ended someone. And, once, I was trying to get my girlfriend's attention more...

In my honest opinion a bike crash is the worst thing. I mean you spend so much money on a bike and there so much enjoyment. And I'm not sure about anyone else but I get incredible attached to my bike. I crashed my first bike when it was only a week old more...
