After a little googling, It turns out they were. I think their dodgy claim is based on being the first place in the UK to start making and selling it in the 1700s.

The way my V570 mounts, if I were to leave the zoom lens on, all you would see is the chin bar. Haven't done it yet, sure I will someday! I share an office with a guy that's just a little older then me. We grew up in the same area and always talk about more...

I've left it on half zoom before when doing off the bike vids but the effect is much less noticeable. The good thing about the V series is that the zoom resets to wide angle once the camera is switched off which saved the rest of my vids.
