Another really good essay. My take is that "being ready to say yes to luck" is the reason some people seem luckier than others. We each get some random allotment of chances and our responses determine our "luck".
Also, I find that those who consider themselves

fortunate tend to get more so. Maybe that's a matter of perspective, but it has certainly been true for me.

You want to hear something unlucky? You were the first video I watched on this site and I didn't know how it worked really. I was like, duh, how do you vote?...hmm...what's this hit /miss stuff...oops I shouldn't have pressed "miss" I guess cause thats

how you vote!!!! I can't undo it!!!Aaarrrghhh! I like your video, sorry about my accidental vote. My view is that "lucky" people are people that on some level have a vision of what they want, they move forward in their vision and "lucky" things happen.I like the idea of luck, cause I'm a dreaming twit, but I think fortune favors the prepared.

I totally agree with you. Life is a chain of happenings. Some things may suit better for you than others. We can influence to some entence what is happening around us.

Personally, no, I don't believe in luck. Because of my religious leanings, I tend to ascribe most things to divine providence. Perhaps it's also because, unlike you, I always feel unprepared.

We are all dealt our cards.. the trick is how you play them.. I don't believe too much in luck more than you have to recognise opportunites and you choose whether to grab them or not.

where is the good? anyway, luck allows us to appreciate the little things in life that otherwise get taken forgranted. SO .... if an airplane crashes on your house and wipes it out, was that bad luck or just an opportunity?

I guess if you were not in the house when it happened and had been hoping to rebuild the house but didn't have the money, but did have a good lawyer, that would be considered lucky. Sorry, couldn't resist saying that. I don't know for sure, that's

I don't believe in luck but I don't think it's as simple as being prepared either. I think it's partly preparedness, but also circumstance and random chance. For instance, if you just happen to find a twenty dollar bill on the street that isn't because

you were prepared it's just chance. And if you're a child or someone/thing else that isn't in a position of control you don't have a choice in how 'prepared' you are. So for instance, I had the opportunity to act in our community theatre as a child but couldn't because my parents wouldn't let me. I was certainly prepared, I certainly had the opportunity but it wasn't my choice. So, no, I don't believe in luck but I do believe in circumstance and random chance which combined could appear to some people as luck.

Something positive happens by 'random chance' = luck?I don't understand what you mean. You seem to just be describing luck.
