No, I wasn't kidding, I was just mistaken. On my first view of this, that sunset shot at the end looked like a fire. I thought you had included it as a kind of visual joke.

Yoda, this is so cool! I always envied the other kids who had the science know-how. Sure hope it wasn't your rocket that started that humongous fire. Are you confessing to something here?

That was my friend Albert in the blue jacket...I was holding the super8 camera.Yes I do occasionally build things like that.I like the really big rockets now.Big motors are just too expensive. Building your own has become a legal issue after 9-11.

ahhh, what a cool memory and even better that you have the video. A nice adventure.... and strangely, was kinda nice to visit the seventies for a couple minutes.

Actually...I digitized them directly from super8 film.
I used a Swiss made projector and filmed right off the screen.I had to wait a long time to get my hands on that thing.I could not pass up the fact that I was into "video"making before there were actually
more...
video cameras anyone could afford.I have more...not rockets...but other stuff from the same era.

The first rocket was from an Estes kit my friend All was catching.The second one is scratch built completely.The motor was just too big...but I don't think there is such a thing as a rocket that is too fast.;-)
