livevideo doesn't handle 16:9 well. You have to resize your 16:9 aspect ratio video to 4:3 and add the letterbox bars at the top and bottom

I just turn off that "widescreen" option on my camcorder.

But livevideo's strength is it's community, not really techical things, although they all work.
