Gee, I always wanted to say that! Thanks! he he I compared and I tink I like the standard for YouTube use. The tiny bit lost on the sides isn't worth the loss of the top and bottom to me. Freida

I have never seen Poison Oak, so thanks for the BTW at the end!
Given the choice, I would prefer to have, as they have on YouTube, the little feature which places your video into a black frame.
Of course, you can only do that while playing and YTs screen

is smaller to begin with but it does make the image seem cleaner and I think makes the imagery clearer.
I have one video on both YT and here which somehow I managed to render with a black frame around the picture. I have no idea how I did that, since it doesn't appear to be something available on WMM and that is the only software I used. My camera doesn't do it... So I have no idea how to replicate it but I wish I could for all my videos.
I would also prefer if we could choose the background colour of the pages we are viewing on because I had the glare of the white.
When I make my image videos, I usually prepare each photo with a black frame so that it is inset slightly from the edge of the screen. It really enhances the images, makes them brighter and cleaner, and crisper.
One comment on the widescreen. The frame should be black because colour can really be disruptive to your concentration.

It is a case of quality over quantity.
I find the black space improves the quality of the image, even if it is simply a small frame around the image.
It is like simply sticking a painting on the wall without concerning yourself with a frame, even if the

frame is simply negative space.

Interesting that you've found a reason to add more black around your videos, giving up even more precious image space! But I do appreciate your reasons. Thanks for responding!

The reason for the widescreen aspect on film is the image will not be cut of on both ends and losing some character shots. But what I noticed between the regular video of yours is not that big of a difference on both ends. But the beginning shot was

dramatic. For regular vloging more screen the better. For artsy videos widescreen.

Thanks. Yeah, I did deliberately set out to find good scenery for my widescreen test, but you're right, for 95% of the rest of my videos, standard would be better.
