Hi bois-francs, aw shucks, you are too, too kind. I think this video online lark is terrific and I'm only too pleased to receive constructive criticism along with the plaudits. Of course I just choose to ignore the rest. Cheers, Eric.

Hi onthespoke. Sorry you didn't like my video however I was relieved to read that the criticism was mostly for the piece itself and not for my rendition. The play, as you might well know, is meant to be indicative of Britain in about the late '50's

early '60's, just as Britain was merging into the new rock 'n roll age. I think probably John Osborne had this in mind when he wrote it. Archie Rice himself is an anachronism. I agree with you entirely that language when used correctly is a powerful thing. The pen is mightier etc........However I don't profess to be the greatest actor in the world, I'm just a humble performer doing his best. I also have to bear in mind my age when choosing pieces, Hope I and my choices might meet with your approval sometime in the future. Incidentally the play has just been revived and is running in London with a fine actor Robert Lindsay playing Archie. Cheers, Eric.

Never mind the criticism, we should listen more attentively to men of vast talent and culture. As a Francophone, even I recognize and enjoy your incredible mastery of the English language, and I find your renditions to be well chosen and extremely captivating.

I know this is art, but the language is very out dated.
Art can be evolved as well.
I stopped listening after twenty seconds.
I wasn't a fan of the language in this piece at all, and i hope the coming pieces will be mindful of how powerful language is and

how it should be wielded.
