that was a beautiful little town definatly, i like those roads, but they seem so narrow to me, especially when they let the cars park on the side.

Yep they are very narrow, you do get used to it though, just have to be extra vigilant.

My ISP throttles the speed if(When) I exceed my monthly download limit. I have 4gb btn 8am & midnight and another 4gb from then "till 8am.
My Father was a GP and an Anaesthetist in the UK up til the "60's when he and many many collegues left for Australia,

Yep, I'd heard you guys had it bad for bandwidth caps and throttling over in OZ.
Yeah, I think most I know have some relatives that jumped ship to OZ in the 60s for a new life. I guess the world is pretty much your oyster if you are a GP, relocation wise.

One of my uncles moved out there too, he moved around a fair bit and finally settled in Hobart.

Yep, that's probably one of the most picturesque towns around here. There's more footage in the video link in that bbc news article link in the description.

I'm with BT also. We're running 8 things through it including LAN, 3x laptops, Xbox live, BT Vision and a couple of HTC 620. They all work together seamlessly, so I can't grumble.
Nice to see you do a life-saver check before overtaking. I wouldn't

Yep, I'm reasonably impressed with this BT Broadband speed wise seeing as we are located in the sticks. I think it's only gone down once since my mum signed up for it nearly 9 months ago. It did crap out the other night at 12am but was back up at 7am.

Yep, I always do my life savers before an overtake. They have saved me on numerous occasions, but not from cars, but from other bikes attempting to overtake at the same time which could have been potentially very nasty indeed.

Thanks Larry, that's nice to know. As long as I still have the bike, camera, something to talk about and an Internet connection I hope to keep pumping them out.

The geographical center of England ... Reminds me of the old story ( I'm sure you must have heard it) of the British sailor who decided that he'd had enough of the sea. Started walking inland from the coast with a rowing oar slung over his shoulder,

The thing about bandwidth caps is they are just stupid. If they want to limit your data transfers, they should just throttle the bandwidth.

The UK is lagging behind again in its broadband infrastructure. Same old story, no one is prepared to make the investment to improve it. Even France is spending a shedload on upgrading to fibre to the doorstep. They are all complaining now that P2P is

no way. I'd rather have a set limit, then see my internet get slower. If I go over the limit charge me, or I'll upgrade to a tier of service with higher transfer limits.
