I guess many would say that honour and respect are interdependent to some degree.

But you have to go deeper than that to perceive the obstacles that need to be removed.

Only by removing all fear, anger, hatred and guilt from our psyche can we even begin more...

Honorable Mention category comes to mind - I'll jump in and try but my efforts seldom result in being the best! The main point is that if everyone just tried, really tried, there would be more appreciation for receiving honorable mention.
