Description:
Thanks for the kind words.
For more information on the historicity of the resurrection I recommend The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel
For more information
more...
on prophecy as well as other evidence I recommend A Sceptics Search for God By Ralph O. Muncaster
The new evidence that demands a verdict by Josh McDowell could also be appeasing.
Ravi Zacharius is a good source for understanding the uniqueness of the Christian message and how if fits into reality. You can find his broadcasts here http://www.rzim.org/radio/
Also here are some historical prophesies fulfilled (not fulfilled in the bible but after the prophecies were written and confirmed in archaeology ect.) http://www.whoisjesus.org/english/resources/areadydefense/ch06/default.htm
Here is the prophecies fulfilled through Jesus

Some ancient non-Christian documents which point to Jesus

You must utilize the same scrutiny as you would other historical books on the bible. About 2,500 New Testament documents have been found, more than any other ancient book. (The closest was the Iliad with 643.) Kenyon- The interval then between the dates of original composition and the earliest extant evidence becomes so small as to be in fact negligible, and the last foundation for any doubt that the scriptures have come down to us substantially and they were written has now been removed. Both the authenticity and the general integrity of the books of the New Testament may be regarded as finally established.
I subscribed to gnophilist because I currently want to gain more knowledge in evolutionary prospects. Thanks again. God bless.

Actually, you should really look up your "facts". I'm not putting you down or anything, but you have absolutely (I repeat) absolutely no evidence put forth to your claims. I think what you're really doing is taking rumors and classifying them as more...

"proof". What all the gods I have listed have in common is not that they are only man made (including Jesus or any other religious god) but they are of almost exact stories that of Jesus.
This world isn't as chaotic as you might think it is. If you really think it's built on chaos, you should really start looking at yourself.
Please, list your evidence. Also, read a book or two and not just the bible.
Recently scientists have figure out a link in our brains why we have morality. So, I implore YOU to think about it. Once again, there is absolutely no evidence of a god or gods, including Jesus.
Also, archaeological remains are that of humans and/or other animals. Humans making reference to a higher being in that era does not justify your claims. These are people that had absolutely no idea of how the world really worked. We're now at the year 2007. A year where we know a hell of a lot more than they did. Science has proven almost every single superstitious ritual as false.
We are all individual minds. Why on earth do we need a reason to live? Why not take for granted that we are witnessing something truly amazing? Something that no ancient text can come close to even touching the surface of what we see as reality. Religion, I'm afraid, restricts us of new ideas and thoughts.

I see your points.
May I suggest you take a peek into these "gods"
Perseus, Attis, Huitzilopochtli, Genghis Khan, Krishna, Horus, Mercury, Buddha, Romolus.
They all things in common. I'll leave it up to you to figure it out.

All those gods were created by men. They were based on human charactaristics. Think about it, if you were to make a god in your head by looking at this world, as chaotic as it is. How could you think up a perfect God who is perfectly loving and cares

for every hair on our head? It totally goes against the state of the world. Plus take a look at the 500 plus prophecies that came true in history in the bible. Also Jesus came down and was crusified and rose again. This is a historical fact backed up by 29 non Christian sources as well as the reliable gospels and archaelogy. Think about it.
