Pedal power!!!
Dude, you're really taking this fitness thing seriously. It's Christmas, chill out & have a mince pie! lol. Nah, only kidding. I wish I have your determination where fitness & weight loss were concerned.
As you know... I'm looking at

the housing situation too. I also did a vlog... but the recent upgrade from XP to Vista x64 has left me a bit disjointed, while I install new editing software (as my old video editor won't work under 64 bit). Getting there though.

Thanks, when I get into something I become almost obsessed with it. I'm like that with everything.
I'm looking forward to your vlog btw

You are in the same situation I am in....I live in a town where the cost of living is low and the housing market (just like the rest of the country) is bottoming out "however" my house is only worth 80k so I'm not taking much of a hit at all and I'm

actually watching how things go over the next 6 months to a year to see if I can pick up something really nice for really cheap. People all over are talking doom and gloom about the recession but honestly if you don't lose your job this is the best thing that can happen to us....we learn how to manage our money better, stop using credit cards so much, and prices come down. Most of us will be in better shape after the recession than before.

Exactly, I've seen this coming from a long way off so now I'm well placed ready to weather the storm and hopefully finally get a small detached place in the country out of it. These last few months in this place have really been getting me down with

inconsiderate neighbours and their non stop barking dogs. Hopefully, in around 9 months I'll be out of here.

lol, I have tried but the centre of balance isn't great, not like my old racer with cow horn handlebars I had as a kid (pre-bmx error), that thing I could wheelie all day long :)

If you're really not all that concerned about how much you get for your place, I should think that you are definitely coming into a good time to start looking for another. Try and find a detached house with lots of bedrooms and a big garage. Then you

I'm looking for a single story house with 2-3 bedrooms, a garage and a small garden. I could go bigger but I don't want a big property to maintain.

I guess it's the same there as it is here in the States. It's a buyers market right now and if you have a secure job, you'll do good.
When you ride your bike, maybe you should try Suburban Rider hat cam. I think it would be just the thing.

Yep, it's a buyers market for sure, that's if you can get a mortgage. Hehe, I'd forgotten about the Suburbanrdier cam mount

Don't be shy about making a "silly offer"...and best make sure it's for a house you really like in a village you really like as you could well get it. I've made "silly offers" twice and scored both times.... then again, I've allowed heart over head

a couple of times and got rightfully nailed.

I won't be shy about doing it as I know if they get rejected it will probably save me money in the long run. I'm just sick of my neighbours and their dogs at the moment so, at the same time, I'm hoping any offers do get accepted.

Good luck on the house shopping. I don't know the market there but over here I expect the market to stay depressed for a few years actually. Make offers that are well below asking price and move on to the next potential and make more below market offers

until you find someone who has to sell. Better pick up a reposessed house.

Thanks Downhil, I think you are right, once they stop declining they will hover around the bottom for a while before they go back up again.
Putting in low-ball offers and moving on, that's my strategy. I've been looking in the auctions too. Lots of repossessions

in there at very reasonable guide prices.
Just on radio now, as I type this they say the market is pricing in another 36 percent fall over the next 2 years, (they've already fallen 15 percent from peak) so no rush at all.

The housing market has had it's struggles here as well. Now it is time for the hotel and commercial slide to follow suit.
Good luck on your home search bro. Take your time and get what you want.

Thanks Ike, I'm not going to rush into anything, there'll be plenty of good stuff coming on the market in the Spring. Best not to let the heart rule the head.
