The compression braking of the V4 is a lot smoother than the Vtwin on the M50. It also gets worse as the rpm climb. I kept it in the lower ranges because it's easier to ride predictably down there. It gets a bit twitchy at 11k rpm, especially in 1st more...

Yea, I had a few near misses with both lines over the entire ride. Most of the ones with the white line weren't as close as they appear though. The ones with the yellow, on the other hand...

I was actually shocked at how slow I was going most of the time. It's too bad the one run I managed to record was not my fastest run. I'm quite sure I wouldn't keep up with your VFR though. The M50 OTOH would have been meat.

I did the same thing. I went into 3rd on a rare occasion, and used 4th just to keep the revs down a few times. Never really used first, too much of a drop in revs, and getting from 2nd to 1st mid turn can be hairy.
