This is based on the 1990 Universal Pictures logo in which the Jetty the Weak Jet Plane enters from the left side of the globe to start making the company's name.

The Universal Cartoon Studios logo from 1991 dosen't appear on The Land Before Time VI, An American Tail - Treasure of Manhattan Island, An American Tail - Mystery of the Night Monster, and probaly Hercules and Xena - The Battle for Mount Olympus.
