NBC showed us this sequence just before 9:00am on September 11, 2001. At first glance, one might assume that the pointless triangles are lens glare. But, more...of course, we see that the pointless triangles are fixed on the lens and do not change at all when the camera's angle with regard to the sun changes. I think they look remarkably like incomplete pyramids. Every perp has a signature.
For extra interest, please note that the sequence is from the west side of the twins and the camera appears level with the damaged floors. Obviously a chopper shot from somewhere over NJ with a super zoom lens.
But, I wonder...
How often is a camera mounted on a tripod in a chopper? Is that a special wescam feature?
