As for your hair, ask a hairstylist about getting it thinned out. I knew a girl with thick long hair and she told me that is what she had done.

Hey, the thing my primate does is puts it all up in a ponytail on top of her head. Then she twists it around one way and cuts it straight off, then twists it the other way and cuts it off to keep it even.
