Wonderful! Love the bright colors and the vase at the end was indeed excellent. If you put any on e-bay please share the link to your page. Your video lighting has come a long way, I recall some of your first kiln openings and it was hard to see the

colors. However, you have mastered the art of kiln opening lighting and it really shows how beautiful your work is. Bravo!

Low-fire glazes give much brighter colors, but are less resistant to heat and freezing - and can let liquid leak through. In addition, they seldom have the variations in color that the high-fire glazes do.
I am planning to make my own page purely about

my ceramics, where I will also showcase pieces that I will be selling on E-bay. I need to figure out what I want to call the site, though. I have a few ideas I might put out there for you guys to react to.
Yeah - the trick is to film in daylight and have the camera over by the window - in addition to full lights on in the laundry room. I remember those first videos too - including the one I had to follow up with a colors video! Hehe!
Good to see you!

that one you asked about at the beginning?
it wasn't my favorite but I don't think it was because of the 'see-through' (?) . Just didn't respond to the colors.
My favorite is the two tone blue with the narrow red line. Also like the black with lavender.

Did you ever think of making beads? I bet they would be very popular. some could even be bigger than your tiny pieces.
thanks for making this video

Hi Tree! Nice to see you!
I really like that one with the thin red line as well. I think the thin line (instead of fat as on other pieces) gives a really good effect, so I will probably do something similar in future.
I have made lots of beads. If you

look in my pottery album, there should be at least one or two videos showing them. They are really fiddly to glaze, but turn out fun. I just need to figure out how to make them into jewelry.
Thanks for stopping by!

The bowl with the lines radiating from the bottom center looks like a melon.

Ahhh! Hadn't thought of it like that. As mentioned below, I gave that one to my niece, as it is a lovely size for her. I thought it turned out fun too!

Hi hon! Cool bowls! They make me want to run and eat cereal. hehe...I love a nice cereal and soup bowl. I liked the purple and black one. The vase at the end was pretty. Its funny to hear you say it would be fun to have "a pot plant" in a couple of them
more...
because in America "pot plant" has a very different meaning than "potted plant". Hope the FBI doesnt track you down with that talk hehe :P
Hugs,

HAhahaha!!! Pot plant! I don't even think that way, as pot-plant is very common over here. But it also means POT plant - so it kinda depends on the pronunciation, I guess.
Those little round bowls make me want to get out the cereal too! But I gave the

little striped one to my niece.

Yeah - the more I think about it, the more I see the see-through bits of glaze as proof that the bowl is hand-made and hand-glazed. Still - it kinda depends on who the bowl is for.

The collapsed piece was cool, but my favorite was the "melon" bowl.

Some of the collapses turn out really cool - others end up in the recycle-bin! Hehe!
Melon bowl? Which one do you mean?

Thanks Richard! I am in Oslo just now, but we have such a pace, that I haven't gotten in touch. I will probably be back with more time on my hands sometime before Christmas, though.
Hope you are feeling lots better!

I haven't seen any ceramic putter-outers, but you can get little metal ones and such.
Since firing is part of a longer process, I have learned to enjoy each part equally. I can even wait for the kiln to cool off these days! HEhe!

Oh that's clever!!! You should market them!!
I can't imagine the patience of waiting for them to be fired after making them!!
Skilled!! :-)

A cigarette putter-outer is a small tube with a diameter slightly larger than a cigarette. You put it in the ashtray and just put the hot end of the cigarette into it. There is then too little oxygen for it to burn, and it goes out without you crushing

it (often unsuccessfully) in the ashtray. My smoking friends like them because the ashtrays are much easier to wash and you don't have cigarettes that have to be put out twice. Add to that that, since you have a specific place you put the ciggy out, you can put little things like threads or peach pits in the ashtray without them being an irritation. So my sis-in-law wanted some more :-)
The purple and black ball got a peace lilly put into it - and that turned out really lovely. The blue one is not big enough for a plant, though, but I hope to make more of those type balls in future.
The last vase? The one with the leaves? I loved the shape of that too!
