i'm a big fan of freedom of speech, for better or worse and some of the scripted vids on this site are most definitely worse. pity the 'block' feature can't be set to both ways so that you only see unblocked material/users, rather than the blocked

material/users from just not seeing you. doing that would clear a lot of 'clutter' up, even it's not the nicest solution and has many logistical flaws. i dig your reply, myles.

I see exactly were your coming from on the nohogirls thing. What it sounded like to me was constructive critisizm. Recently i complained about my fav pub on myspace and expressed my opinion about the new managment and that the pub had gon down hill

and lost a lot of customers and i got a message back telling me to either apollogise for what i said or i would get band for 3 months from the pub.I founf that insane being told to apollogize for having an opinion.anyway good work man keep it up and ill be watching.

like this stuff, and they may even outnumber the people who like "real" vloggers. on youtube, most of the vloggers get nowhere near the views that "productions" like lg15, lisa nova, little loca, chad vader, nobodyswatchingtv, (& miaarose?) get. renetto is an exception, because he's just a character in real life. in fact, the most viewed non-scam non-copyright violation videos on youtube are often from people trying to make it in show business.
Now, that being said, there is also a very vibrant and engaged community of people who like "real" vloggers like you (you are #8 most subscribed on livevideo right now, in fact, after the nohos, wehos, bikini news, and a few others, but ahead of the rest of the pack). I don't know why the two can't interact. I can't say why the nohogirls "attacked" you and don't know the details -- and i guess that's the main part of your complaint. Fair enough. they keep their video comment boards "in character" (which would be impossible to moderate on buggy old youtube), but its easy to google nohogirls to find out who they are (which i helped to out because i thought people would want to know). i always chuckle at people who just seem perturbed at the nohogirls. i'll check out some more of your vlogs too, i'd rather here about this awesome girl instead of spilling more text into the internet on this subject!

I think Myles makes some good points. I'm a long term Noho fan but they censored some of my comments on the videos. They were quite innocent comments too, not criticising the show but referring to actress Mary Newman who plays Cara Brimley. The defence

of Iron Sink media was that they wished to preserve the "illusion" for new viewers. To be fair, Paul from Iron Sink, who seems to manage the Noho channels, wrote to me and politely explained why the comments were censored so I can sort of see their point of view. It has to be said, they put a great deal of work into the production so I'm not going to go against their wishes and post things about the cast on their channel.All the same though it is a form of censorship. The same exists on Girltalk where someone I know was blocked from their channel for nothing more than constructive criticism. Loads of things are censored on Girltalk, and the only comments that remain are of the dumbed down variety "Wow your show is great" kind of stuff. Girltalk is a fake channel which only exists to promote the girls or give them exposure to talent scouts. It's not about giving teenage advice.I've noticed that these channels get "featured" on Live Video no matter what, and I think there may be some kind of financial arrangement between the producers and LV in that some scripted content is desirable to provide a backbone for the LV website. Is that desirable or not? I'll leave the fine viewers of this channel to make their own decision, but at least you have some background information.

away in interaction, I wouldn't expect you to, and even if you did, I wouldn't use it if that was the only source. If I had discovered it previously myself, then just becase you happen to mention it shouldn't prevent people's freedom of speech.I think Myles's problem stems from the Noho channel accusing him of spreading crap. I've always known Myles to be pretty fair in what he says, but I'll leave that for you guys to sort out.

removed and as you said - I contacted you to explain my decision. The criticisms are welcomed and the only comments removed (usually) are those that use real names or are of such an objectionable nature that they have to be removed.
Now I don't know what is going on with Blade. Seems like a war of words is going on here that Myles is offended by. I will get to the bottom of it.

get rid of the very crude ones which viciously attack us or use foul language. To clear up your other assumptions, GirlTalk was not created to give the girls access to talent scouts, if we are discovered here, great, but our intention was to offer young girls a place where they can discuss issues they may not feel comfortable talking to anyone else about. We have had many heartfelt thank you's from our young viewers for answering their questions. As for being fake, we are all real girls and answer questions based on our own experiences, no scripting involved. We know not everyone agrees with our advice and we welcome comments saying what they think the person should do instead. We promise we won't delete them unless they attack, curse, or mention something perverse. Thanks - GirlTalk
