I would like to offer a thank-you to everyone who obliged to my many overreacting and often rather rude requests to change icons, bulletin titles, and other methods of spoilers. Thank you to everyone! Things could have been bad, but we got enough people to keep spoilers to an INCREDIBLE minimum. I only received one spoiler (five times over), and extended it slightly by my own consent. I don't really mind. Those of you who didn't watch the leaked episodes, you have my utmost more...respect and admiration. Those of you who decided to watch just to be free from spoilers but kept your lids on the spoilers and intend to watch it tonight with the rest of the fandom, you have my appreciation. Those of you who watched it early and used images as your channel icon or post titles or whatever...DON'T DO IT AGAIN. You have my thanks for keeping it to a minimum, but remember, there are other fans out there. And regardless of your intentions, using a spoiler image will hurt everyone. Especially if used as a shipping weapon. Not only is it rude and offensive to use something like that as a means of taunting another side, but you may ruin a moment for fans on your own shipping side. It also defames a ship and makes everyone look bad. So, don't do it.
Remember this in future, so that repeat offenses don't happen with the second half of season three.
As for episode titles, PLEASE DO NOT DISCUSS THEM UNTIL THEY ARE REVEALED. If it weren't for the fact that I consented to peek at one of the titles about a month ago, I would be furious with everyone once again. If you want to talk about an upcoming episode, use its episode number--312, 313, etc. I'm hoping to actually have less than a month's notice about an episode title sometime soon, so that I don't think and theorize too much. It upsets the creators when titles are leaked like that, so do your best to respect their wishes.
However, overall, I think the fandom has done an admirable job. Just tweak the few flaws and be careful, and everything should work out swimmingly. less | |

If you've sent me tidbits for 308 or 309, or are planning to, wait. I have your messages saved. I WILL read them. For now, though, I'm going to see if I can pick any tidbits up myself. Sorry, it's just a little more fun that way. ;) I'll check the messages, though, before I make the vid, so do not worry. NAT 5 should be released sometime in early December. At the worst, more...mid-to-late January. That's actually the more likely date. I have a few music video ideas that I'm just waiting for the hiatus to create. And I'll be watching more, then, too. This is going to be FUN.

| |  | Nightfall: Avatar Season Three

It's finally done.
My tribute to the third season and all of its awesomeness--every single clip in this video came from Book Three, and I'm very, very more...pleased with the results. There's at least one clip from every episode included here.
The song is "Nightfall" by Blind Guardian, and some of you may not like it--the creator whose video I based this one off of said that it is an acquired taste, and I agree. It takes a few listens to gain a real appreciation, but once you enjoy it, you love it. I couldn't resist using this song for the season, as it fit so well and holds an epic feel of triumph and mythology that encompasses Avatar brilliantly.
This is definitely the video that I spent the most time and effort on so far--I sacrificed a number of clips for better ones, changed things around, and planned out almost every segment methodically. There are actually a few points where I deliberately softened the feel in order to make the follow-ups more impressive. The point of this video is to keep everything moving from beginning to end, without stop. I think I might have actually succeeded.
I've been working on this one for almost two months now, on-and-off, and I've finally produced my first post third-season music video. I started it the day before the finale aired and worked in spurts; some days I would work for an hour and get about ten or fifteen seconds in, other days I would work for six hours and finish a whole minute. Or thirty seconds. There's a five-second piece that actually took me about two hours to make, and I actually had to completely abandon the project for a few weeks when I got hung up on the musical interlude. Inspiration finally came, though (namely raven's latest video), and I started work again...finally finishing.
I kind of wish that I'd watched the finale more, but I'm pretty darn happy with the ending clips. I may improve later, though.

Toph actually wound up getting a lot more clips than originally intended--which is still a horrifically low level. But Tiny Toph is worth quite a bit, so I think she's happy.
I have so much more to say about this, but I'm not going to...this thing is long enough. But you try working on a video for this long and putting in a short description. Mm.
Oh, plenty of credits to JimLad800! His Twilight Princess video to this song was the masterful inspiration and primary influence for this video--I'd say that he is probably the best vidder I've seen (no Avatar vids, but...Zelda's enough!). Finally, after who knows how long (a month and a half, actually), I have FINALLY made another music video! And it includes clips from 314 and 315 (a lot more...of them, actually).
I've been waiting to make this AMV for months now. I believe I first heard it in January when Wishsong214 suggested I make it once we had Sokka rescuing Suki...after listening to the song/watching it over and over again in a Final Fantasy AMV on YouTube, I had an idea of what I wanted to do with it. I had planned it out even before I knew what clips I would be using. Naturally, the clips I got were completely different from what I was expecting, and as a result, the video turned out VERY different from my original concept. One of the big changes was the exchange of the Maiko and Sukka verses; I'd originally intended for there to only be a bare focus on Mai and Zuko, but Wishsong214 convinced me to give Mai the first verse, and I think it turned out really well. Katara gave me a lot of difficulty, but I'm satisfied with the result...and Suki's bit was not quite what I wanted, ultimately, but I'm pleased. ALL of the refrains make me very, very happy, though.
I drew heavily on influence from the original AMV I got hooked on--if you look this song up on YouTube, the vid should be the first one you see. It's a REALLY good vid, and I couldn't help borrowing some elements. But I still retained enough originality with this one, I think. I also tried something of a new style with the clips, aiming more for metaphors than the literal interpretations. It all makes sense in my head, and I hope it works for the viewers.
Please refrain from comments that contain spoilers for the series finale!

Bored and utterly fed up with the wait for new episodes or word of any sort, the Avatar cast has decided to follow Mai's lead and begin making their own more...commecials. During this commercial break, Katara ad Toph have a major disagreement, Mai does her own commercial, and Piandao takes certain viewers on a trip down nostalgia lane.
I had to tread fairly cautiously with some of the products--kids can't drink beer! So, that stuff is left to the adults. Three TV commercials, one radio commercial, one informercial. Enjoy!
The voice in Mai's commercial is Cricket Leigh, the girl's own voice. Just like before. I couldn't use it last time due to a lack of clips...but now, it works so well, it's freaky.

Minor spoilers for 312 and 313 included.
Like Scrubs? Like Avatar? One or the other, you should at least be able to laugh, even if you more...haven't more...seen Scrubs at all. If you HAvE seen Scrubs, this might be even funnier. I'm 90% certain that you WILL laugh during the course of this video, as I have found myself laughing at several parts within. Yes, I made myself laugh. That's nigh impossible. There's a helpful little blackout between each clip--if you need to pause for breath, feel free.
There is very little cast continuity in this. It is mainly based on the Avatar characters, rather than the Scrubs characters....but pairings usually match up, and everyone fits their role as well as they can. Lip-synch is off in some parts, and there is the occasional clicking noise where the sound recording messed up.
Zuko seems to be rather dominant throughout this--for one thing, because he has a lot of clips, for another thing, because, well...he fits the clips. I wish I'd used more Aang and Sokka, but it's hard finding hilarious clips that have humor that will either be acceptable or wild enough to go over the heads of the innocent. Except for the ones I used....I have more clips on hand, so if this gets enough of a positive response, I'll probably make another selection in the future. But as soon as it hit six minutes in length, I decided that it was long enough. It took a while to wrap up, but....hopefully, you'll laugh.
Rated PG for language and some innuendo.
This took DAYS to make...hunting down clips, finding ones that worked, synching them up....actually, one could say that it took months, as a few of these clips were thought of ages ago. It demanded a lot of my time and became a recent obsession, and took several revisions to make me happy. But I think it was worth it. Almost.

I just made this up on a whim....I'm making a larger compilation of clips, but I couldn't resist doing this one.
Even though Dr. Cox and Jordan's relationship more...is really not that much like Maiko at all, Mai's trademark blank face was made to do things like this. And theirs is also my favorite Scrubs relationship, so, favorite Scrubs ship, meet favorite Avatar ship.
I actually rated this one....I'll probably submit a cropped, appropriate version in the full-scale video compilation, but for now, this one is available. There's nothing serious, just....I don't want a twelve-year old watching. PG-13, I'd say.
My favorite part is probably Ty Lee's face at the end...but Mai's face throughout is also one of the funniest blank faces I have ever seen. XD

Cannot say the same for its parody--do NOT seek out the video this was based on unless you have already seen it in Bleach. Because more...it contains spoilers that could be compared to seeing Ozai's face before you've watched Avatar, only fifty times worse. I don't care if you think that you will never watch Bleach in your life, if you go and watch the original thing, you will regret it immensely. I added subtitles to this one for that reason; they also helped support the middle.
Based on my new favorite opening of Bleach.
Trust me when I say that everything is parodied perfectly. There's one bit that I'm iffy on, but there's another bit that I was shocked and surprised at because I'd actually come eerily closer to the original than I'd thought....
Basically a setup for the final battle, in my mind. The final battle, and the second half of the third season. Or maybe the whole third season.....but the bits in the middle were what made me really, really want to make this vid. And the ending chain. And, of course, the slightly strange opening. Don't think that this is a comical vid....
Oh, pay attention to the colors, too. Especially red and blue.
Reminder: resist temptation to seek the original out. If you really have to know, then watch Bleach.
And don't worry, I'm getting back to work on NAT5 right now! It should be up tomorrow! I just had to get this out of the way, first. I was planning it for weeks.

I can't believe that no one else has used this song for a video! But this was fun, very fun, to make.
How do we know who loves who? Because of what more...we see here. Iroh and Toph (the two BFFs who get by without being shipped) lead this musical number of epic win. I don't know if the video does it justice, but I tried.
Jin had to lend a hand with a few of her moments. Not exactly love, but definitely very, very romantic. Worth comparing to the other relationships.
Done because the song rules. And Enchanted rules. And I was thinking of how to make a vid to the song while watching the movie. I also had to give Suki some loving, what with her in prison and all.
