an important thing I want to say is that, according to mainstream spiritualism, there are no such thing as any spirits other than those of people who once lived, except for God, believed by many to be the universal spirit. there are no demons, though there are negative spirits, but they are spirits of people. it is up to the individual whether they believe in demons, but it is in my opinion an unnecessary, negative belief that I feel should be discouraged. anything from mental   more...illness to hauntings by ghosts or other factors can easily be blamed on such an entity, but I just listed some of the aternative possibilities. it is a fact that no atheist has ever been possessed, and more generally, noone who does not believe in demons at all has been possessed or has encountered one.  less

here I am just going to give a bit of info about something that I recently read that I agree with. in a new book I have, it says that spiritualism teaches that there are three components to a human being (and in my opinion, any other higher animal): the physical body, the soul (or astral body), and the spirit. the spirit is the innermost component and the intelligence contacted by a medium, and the soul houses it in the next life, which in turn is housed by the physical body during this life.

hello. I am a spiritualist, but as what I believe is an ongoing process of discovery, I will no longer give any specifics in my announcements. what I can say is that I believe in God, I believe in an eternal afterlife in the spirit world, and I do believe that any creature with emotions has a soul, which accounts for all animals except for insects and other (to use a technical term) arthropods.
