Biography Ramone Diaz Born in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, Ramone came from an artistic family. His father Ramon Diaz Lugo is a well known painter and played violin in Barquisimeto’s first symphonic orchestra. His grand father played the trumpet in a band at silent film theatres and bullfights plazas. After being in every single high school musical productions, Ramone went to Universidad de Los Andes, to study Art History and Literature. Ramone first dream was to become a movie director but later, more...he started to be interested in theatre. He studied acting and joined “Los Angeles” theatre group. While touring he used to sing standards in bars and small clubs. Berling, Gershwing, Porter, were part of his repertoire. As he graduated, he became a producer and a director. Tommy, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Oliver! Grease, Les Miserables, Annie, among others, established Ramone as a respected stage man. Later Ramone went to produced and host his own TV show at NCTV “On Broadway," for two years with excellent ratings. In 1997 Ramone created a school of acting for children, teenagers and adults. It has been running for ten years. Ramone is a professor at UCLA. Ramone had been writing songs for the last five years. But it's only until 2006 that he decided to record them. He worked with the gifted French musician and composer Endrik Schroeder, and the great Argentinean singer-songwriter Juan Pablo Schapira. Inspired by the work of some independent artists on Myspace, he is now at the Soundlab Studio recording and mixing some of his songs. And with the important help of the musicians Deibis Rangel (bass) Ali Rodriguez (drums) Honorio Angulo (electric guitar) Will Briceño (acustic guitar).
