| Friday, March 14, 2008 at 12:23 PM | | I am so sorry I havent been updating recently. I havent had internet acess for a while now. Being out of work for a couple of months forced us to cut back on some expenses. Hopefully we will be caught back up on our bills pretty soon and I'll be able to reconnect with the world again. ;) Right now Im using the a computer at the library just to catch up with folks. Lily is 3months now and she is growing like crazy. I hope very much to be able to get back to posting videos in a couple of weeks. more... The weather is getting warmer, and it always makes me want to sing. :)

I have been so pre occupied with waiting for the ultrasound it was really difficult to put any effort into anything else. I need a new capo and after I get one I will post a new original song! I promise! :) So... We found out that we are having a little Girl!!! And we are pretty sure we are naming her Lily. Not sure if we are going with a formal name like Lillian and just calling her Lily, or if we will just go with Lily. For anyone who is interested, you know more...how flowers have meanings? The Lily of the Valley means "Return of Happiness". We were riding down the road yesterday and it had just stormed. And if you know how insanely hot it has been this past week you know what a blessing it was. Anyway I was trying to think of a name that would capture that feeling. With the mist rising up from the ground and everything feeling refreshed and that "new" feeling that a good rain gives everything. And after a while Lily just struck me. It just felt right.
She is perfect and everything looks great!

Yea, I had to use video effects. These pregnancy hormones are doing a number on my complexion and I wanted to spare all of you the site and myself the embarassment.
Oh and my cat Keyto. . .he gets worried about me when I get emotional during a song. Hope you dont mind his butt popping up here and there.

There was a great summer storm rolling in and I figured Id try to capture the mood. Its dark, but I liked it anyway. And I know I could have played more...it better, but its been a while since I played and frankly my hand was hurting. :P
So this a cover of Mindy Smith's version of a song that Dolly Parton wrote. And Viscara, I know its not "come to jesus", im still working on the music for that one. Soon, I promise. ;) Hope this is cool in the meantime.

(I am still fighting allergies so this is not my best work and the end of this song just keeps going on and on, so more...bear with me.)
I just found out today that the engine in my mail car is screwed (cant work without my car - no clue how we are going to pull that one off), on top of us being waaaay behind in bills to begin with-plus, and oh yea taxes which we owe for some reason this year. . .
But I am thinking positively. . or maybe Im just sticking my head in the sand. I dont know.
My allergies are not as bad in the afternoon as they are in the morning and at night and this song isnt too difficult so I figured I could pull it off without sounding too terible.
Yay, life. :) Just another day in paradise. . . .

Just wanted to add that my problems seem so small when I compare them to somthing like what happened yesterday. Its things like that that really make you appreciate the people in your life that you love. We may not have a lot of money, or working vehicles. . .but we do have eachother. My heart goes out to all the families that lost somone in yesterday's tradgedy. less
