 | Posted Jun 20, 09 by Livefreedieyoung this is a great book that u may like called.. the Chamber. if u hav not seen it beacuse its a movie too. I hope that u doo.. This book starts off in the year 1964 and the first couple of chapters gives the basics of whats coming ahead. Sam Cayhall, more...a member of the Klan, bombed the office of a Jew lawyer, Marvin Kramer. The bomb killed Kramer's two boys and severly injured him. Sam's plan after the bombing did not go as planned and was therefore caught but had two mistrials in court. In 1981 Sam was charged with "two counts of capital murder and one count of attempted murder" and was sentenced to death. Adam Hall, a lawyer, goes to visit Sam on death row knowing that Sam is his grandfather. Sam hired Adam as his lawyer and both of them had four weeks to get Sam out of death row or else Sam would be taken to the gas chamber. Adam kept on fighting trying to get his grandfather out of death row but Sam kept on saying that it will be impossible to get him out. As Sam's execution approached, it was becoming clearer that Sam would not get out in time. The best they could hope for was a six month delay but Adam still kept on working. Now it was up to the Supreme Court to make the decision. In a couple of hours, Sam would either be in the chamber or he would be a free man. less Report CommentProcessing.... |
