| Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at 2:16 PM | | Finally, I posted a new video. I have found the button that changes my digital still camera into video mode (only took 3 months) and I bought a laptop with built in cam and mic so It looks like I am running out of excuses to not post. Hopefully I will be overcome with motivation soon, | |
| Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 4:34 PM | | Summer flew by and I was busy getting my mobile home and sunroom back together after moving it to a new park. It's a great get away in the summer but a lot of work this year. Two weeks to go and I have the right knee replaced. Hopefully being gimpy for awhile will give me time to do some videos. There are so many good videos here that by the time I watch them all there is no time for my silliness. We shall see if the snow motivates me this year. Best wishes to all. | |
| Monday, May 14, 2007 at 10:45 AM | | I am pleased that I have made very good progress lately. I work out 30 minutes , twice a day on my exercise bike and do exercises to stretch the ham strings which after surgery tightened up so bad I could not straighten my leg. Now I can get around very good with a walker, not bad with a cane and unassisted if I take small steps. Preparation for the surgery on my other knee has started by making it as strong as I can which hopefully will make it a little easier. Many thanks for all the kind messages. more...Larry less | |
| Sunday, April 29, 2007 at 12:43 PM | | Progress is slower than I had hoped for. The muscles around the new knee joint continue to ache and are swollen and tight. Daily exercise to loosen and strengthen them up continues. Yesterday a chair leg broke and I took a spill onto the floor. I was able to protect the new joint as I fell and was able to get back up using my arms and good leg.The right knee is scheduled for replacement in Oct. 2007 so it seems it will be awhile before some normallacy returns to my life. I look forward to walking more...once more next spring and enjoying the freedom of being mobile which I have lost for the past 3 years. Thanks once more for all the kind wishes. Larry less | |
| Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 7:19 AM | | I am home now with a new left knee. This procedure taught me my pain tolerance is not nearly as high as I thought it was. My hospital stay was difficult. My roommate was 89 and he had Zero memory. For 4 days he asked the same questions over and over, all hours of the day and night. My liquid diet was supposed to be of 2 days duration which they stretched to 5. Many more nasty things happened but maybe I'll save that stuff for a vlog or something. Thanks to everyone for kind words. Larry | |
