Young recorded this into a tape recorder in his living   more...room in front of a crackling fire so I tried and failed to replicate that look. The lighting was way too low and the fire on my computer screen is behind me. The recording came out good though so I went ahead with the video and lightened it as much as I could.  less

A friend of mine commented that this song is "dark and moody, desperate and lonesome with a glimmer of hope" and I think he nailed it.

Inspiration: I went through a severely depressed period   more...when I had my heart broken badly about 20 years ago. The memory of that time is still with me and then I watched my cousin go through a very similar situation some years back. This new song was my attempt to capture the feelings I had at that time (don't ask me why the idea hit for the song me 20 years later!).
I have always hoped that nobody else would have to experience true heartbreak but I think it is a part of living.  less
