Yao was prevented from going to the senior Sharks team because he broke his foot while on the junior team. When he joined the team a year later, he averaged 10   more...points and 8 rebounds a game in his rookie season. The next year, he broke his foot again, which Yao says decreased his jumping ability by 4 to 6 inches The Sharks made the finals of the CBA in Yao Ming’s third season and again the next year, but lost both times to the Bayi Rockets. When Wang Zhizhi left for the NBA the following year, the Sharks finally won their first championship. During the playoffs in his final year, Yao Ming averaged 38.9 points and 20.2 rebounds a game, while shooting 76.6% from the field and made all 21 of his shots during one game in the finals.  less

Yao Ming has been plagued with injuries since 2005 until now. Yao Ming in his first three years of NBA play was very healthy. But things started changing in his fourth season. For his first injury, Yao developed osteomyelitis on his big toe and had a surgery on December18, 2005 for it. He missed 21 games and the Houston Rockets failed to enter the playoffs. His second injury was a broken bone again on his left foot which he suffered playing against the Utah Jazz on April 10,2006. He needed six months to recover for this one.Again, Yao Ming suffered another injury on December 23, 2006. He broke his right knee, he missed 34 games. He also suffered a stress fracture on his left foot which was injured on February 26, 2008. This year though Yao Ming had his first healthy full season and became the fifth seed in the Western Conference. They did advance to the second round but Yao suffered another injury that stopped him from playing against the Los Angeles Lakers. He was diagnosed with a sprained ankle. They lost the series.So what would injured players such as Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming think of a hydrotherapy massage? They think they should've had one when they had the chance. They could have had one and beat the Lakers in the Second Round Playoffs. And I bet, too, that they think they should get a hydrotherapy massage, like, right away.
