I did a lip-sync job on Iron Maiden's 'The Wicker Man.' Please forgive the poor video quality, as it was made using my crappy webcam. I hope to do a remake once I've gotten a cam with better video quality.

In 1973, Paul Giovanni composed "Willow's Song", it included a vocalist that has been largely unknown, but he wrote the song for the sultry temptation scene and the fiddle track has Ian Cutler playing in the background.

Sneaker Pimps caught onto the Wicker vibe and did a remix of this version, but it upsteps the tempo from the original song, which makes it next to impossible to patch into bites from the movie. Well, almost impossible. I pulled in their version, along with Paul's original and Ian on fiddle and mixed the two together with Christopher Lee's "Welcome Fool/Appointment" and a layer from the movie itself where Edward Woodward is at Beech Buchannans grave & a good dose of Brit Eckland. I also added more of Ian fiddling to make the track fuller than the Pimp's version.

From what I understand, the SP version never credited Paul Giovanni, but this mix includes Paul's name. Giovanni passed away in 1996 and was one of America's best music composers. He composed the entire original Wicker Man sound track using UK Folk songs and inspiration from the cast & crew.  less

I hate Nicholas Cage, and not just because he's a horrible actor, but because of the forces that guide his career. The same withered hand that dropped the blade on Roman Polanski's wife and brought an   more...untimely end to the great Stanley Kubrick. Both ritualistically murdered in correspondence to the zodiac and numerology, in an attempt to charge a thoroughly planned out ritual, perhaps decades in the making. George Lucas and his entourage of sith lords in the government, enable him to send the symbolism down the Hollywood pipeline.. and Sean Connery..? Well Sean Connery is suave, and I don't care if he's the puppet master behind this entire thing, because like I said, he's suave and I like his style. Things to look for in this one: The throne of the head Mason in "Eyes Wide Shut" has the symbolic dual phoenix head of rebirth, Indiana Jones and Morpheus between the lion's heads, and R2D2 trying to play some kind of synth in the Star Wars rock out pic.
