During the 2004 Welsh Rally runout we stop on the coast road between Tywyn and Penmaenpool Mid Wales. We are all going for a coffee at The King George 5th Hotel then onto Barmouth.

I live in Carmarthen in West Wales, but in 1998 I lived in High Wycombe in South East England and first came to Carmarthen to do some work for the Welsh Office. It was well over 200 miles from home, so   more...I used to go home only every couple of months. That meant me and the bike (I had a VFR750 at the time, and I didn't own a car) had the mostly empty roads of West Wales to explore at the weekends.

I made this video on a sunny Sunday, in - I think - May 1998. It's me riding from the hotel down to Pembrey to watch a day of classic motorcycle racing (Laverda Jotas versus Egli Vincents, that sort of thing) - I found some footage on the same tape immediately after that ride. I think I'd just bought the camera and was testing it to see how well it would work on the bike.

I've tried dubbing in some appropriate musical backing tracks to this vid, hopefully they add something...  less
