My uncle's memorial service is today (Aug 3rd) at 2pm: My Uncle was kind and gentle man - I always would tell people my having alot of surgeries within the past decade always helped as it would humble   more...me, but I honestly can say having ten years of getting to know my Uncle taught me many lessons in life: being kind and gracious, and most importantly, humility; He made me realize that we all are equal as brothers and sisters on this Earth in God's Eyes. He also made me realize it's okay and that I do not need to fear death as the good Lord above always takes care of us whether we're on Earth or in Heaven - I've lost two grandparents thru my birth family and only knew them a few years each but now this time it's different; I've known my uncle longest in the sense of losing someone thru this family of mine - so yes it does sadden me very much I didn't have even more time to know him longer, but at same time, I'm so thankful for this decade I was given with him. I will always carry his memory on as his Heavenly birthday is on my Earthly birthday.
