Miguel, to me, is Gordon Lightfoot's "El Paso" -- the sad story of a hard life, bad decision, untimely death and an everlasting love. It was difficult to find "period" pics for this   more...one, so I must thank Tj for coming to my rescue and providing some of them. That's what made this truly a "team" effort!

This song was requested by a YouTube viewer who thought we’d only do the second part of this unique song, which is somewhat commonly known as “North Ontario”. But, doing half of a song was out of the   more...question. This one is definitely two songs in one, with the trick being to tie the two together. The more I listened to it, the more I realized that he was disillusioned with the west coast lifestyle and longing for, possibly dreaming of, someone in North Ontario. As is the case with many of Lightfoot’s songs, interpretations will vary, and debates will continue over intentions, locations and content.
