Robert George Adams (of New Zealand 1920-2006) developed what is now called the Adams Switched Reluctance Pulsed DC Permanent Magnet Motor Generator. (The terminology is idiosyncratic, because the design is not that of a traditional switched reluctance motor). Reluctance is the measure of the opposition to magnetic flux, analogous to electric resistance. In the description of the motor's operation developed by Harold Aspden Ph.D, pulsing the stators electrically is said to switch the reluctance or opposition to the rotor magnets.

Working in collaboration with Harold Aspden, theories about the Aether and the motor's alleged interaction with this medium were developed. Adams sought patents for his work (and has received a UK Patent, GB2282708, with Aspden Harold). Debates over the motor's power measurement still exist, with the thermal methodology originally employed open to question. Further claims made by Adams that Ohm's law is not valid for the apparatus, tend to further confuse output measurement.



Furthermore, it is this size is too small to put on a dyno.

However, the torque seems substantially unexpected given the small draw on the battery.

Please read this text in full before you jump to any conclusions. The Vancouver Gadgeteers club is shipping TODAY, to anybody (except 200V pulsers, those only to tech-types) energy devices that no one   more...else is making available, such as Stanley Meyer toroids, chokes, and inductors.

Gadgeteer Rob Matthies was in the same page in Canadian Business magazine's "intriguing inventions of 2008" and realized that there are similarities between the Perepiteia Generator and the modified Adams magnet motor that the Gadgeteers club is willing to make for anyone (as listed in a classifieds ads.)

If you've wanted to get your hands on a Thane Heins device, consider the Gadgeteers Adams motor and/or the "how it works" DVD.

The club meetings were videotaped from several cameras and even blog-cast. However, the blogcasts were automatically erased by BlogTV after a certain time. Too bad, those were free.

The explanation of the intricacies of an Adams motor and scoping shots were shown in Gadgeteers' meetings.

Several members independently tested the test motors (more than one!) and were amazed to see a resistor go colder than ambient; perhaps similar to the Heins' generator accelerating(?) under load.

We do not claim over-unity. For one thing, the size of our prototypes are too small to be put on a dyno. Also, any test should be adjusted for power factor.

Although the Gadgeteers' Adams motor is not a Steorn device, the power, to touch, seems to be much stronger than the miniscule number of watts drawn, as shown on multiple test meters. You'll also see that we recorded the entire test, including wires getting set up.

By getting your an Adams motor from the Gadgeteers club, you may be able to reverse engineer it, and improve or mass-produce the prototype on a commercial scale.

As the Bush administration huddles with major lenders to finalize a relief plan for subprime borrowers, new results today from a survey conducted by Harris Interactive® on behalf of the National   more...Taxpayers Union (NTU) warn against the government going too far. Almost half (48%) of U.S. adults aged 18 and older think a federal bailout of the subprime market would help either lenders who issue subprime mortgages or Wall Street banks who profit from subprime mortgages; in contrast, roughly a quarter (26%) believe homeowners who hold subprime mortgages would benefit most.

"When it comes to rescuing the subprime mortgage market, Americans are skeptical not only of who will benefit, but who will be left holding the bag," said NTU Vice President for Policy & Communications Pete Sepp. "While other surveys have shown serious public concerns over rising mortgage defaults, this poll demonstrates Americans have equally serious reservations over government involvement in the solution."  less
