Voices in the Wilderness, founded in 1996, was the precursor of Voices for Creative Nonviolence a social justice, anti war NGO. She currently acts as the organization's coordinator. Kelly helped organize and participated in nonviolent direct action teams in Haiti, Bosnia and Iraq. In April of 2002, she was among the first internationals to visit the Jenin camp in the West Bank.
