My parents started the tape a little earlier on this video, which shows more of the Showtime Feature Presentation introduction. the logo is a 1973-1990 (An MCA Company byline) version of The Universal   more...1963-1990 "Zooming Globe" (I particularly hate the TV version of this logo). this version is silent (thank goodness!). I found this on my VHS copy of "The Great Outdoors."

I also have the same version of this logo with the opening chords of the intro to the movie "Opportunity Knocks." I would be happy to upload it upon request.  less

I found this before two different "Gallagher" specials on the same tape - "Over Your Head" (1984) and "The Maddest" (1983). I'm going to say this was 1986 when they taped   more...it, given the Robin Williams special these two Gallagher specials were contained with on the same tape.  less

Here's an unappealing movie logo. This is the Hollywood Pictures "Sphinx that Stinks", and boy, does it stink. The main reason why it's not appealing is their is no animation at all for this   more...logo. Absolutely none, if you don't count that blue light at the beginning of the logo. Like I said there's no animation, no unique design ,nothing. The only thing that's unique is the orchestrated jingle that was composed by Mr. Elfman which sounds pretty good. This logo for a film logo is cheap and is not appealing at all. It could be seen on many films of the 1990's and few in the new millenium. Enjoy!!  less

This is from a 1989 or 1990 taping of "Mac and Me" (why?!) from Showtime. I like this intro alot. The Orion logo is the 1982-1996 starry sky with the theme from this movie playing under it.   more...Like the "Caddyshack" version, it is nice and pleasant. Enjoy the music.  less
