I'm dedicating this video to Gil and Ann...a West Virginia boy and his bride

On October 27, 2007 my husband and I took the Potomac Eagle scenic train from Wappocomo Station (in the video I butcher the   more...pronunciation) in Romney, WV to Petersburg, WV. The Potomac Eagle takes you on a 52 mile ride along the south branch of the Potomac River, a portion of which which passes through The Trough, an 8 mile stretch of narrow mountain valley.

"You have entered a sacred place, the eastern home of our magnificent national symbol, the American Bald Eagle. These majestic birds soar high above in their natural habitat, undisturbed by the low rumblings of the occasional train and the passengers who have come for a sighting. Don't be surprised to see these superb flyers swooping overhead in pursuit of prey or gliding gently across the blue mountain skies as if to flaunt their supremacy of the air."

We not only saw eagles, Red Tail Hawks, many deer, and a Blue Heron soaring above the river, we also pass by magnificent historic homes which date from the revolutionary and civil war era.

......there was just too much to include in a 5 minute video so I'll just post some of the highlights as well as I can and highly recommend this experience to anyone who may think they're remotely interested in a scenic train ride!

Driving around listening to "Rainbow" (Fred Eaglesmith)

The point of these "Night   more...Music" and "Rain Music" (and others to follow) is that if I can't sleep, I like taking the car out and driving around for a few hours. Sometimes that isn't possible so these videos are the next best thing. There isn't any point to them except that they are relaxing and I like them.
In the original, the cuts back and forth were timed exactly to the "ping" in the music... Unfortunately, I had to "squish" it to fit into the 100 meg limit.... Sigh....  less

"Dusty" by Fred Eaglesmith. This is my first Night Music video.

I got this idea while driving home late the other night. I was listening to Fred Eaglesmith's "Dusty" on the car stereo....   more...It's sort of rough but I'm going to re-record the driving part. The audio is straight from the disk rather than the audio from the car. The sound on my camera is crap.


The point of these "Night Music" and "Rain Music" (and others to follow) is that if I can't sleep, I like taking the car out and driving around for a few hours. The lights were turned off after I had turned my camera on so I couldn't   more...adjust for the lack of light.

One of the best shows I have been to in ages!
