Imagination is a faculty of the mind, which is very least practiced to accomplish the goals. Those people who use imagination mostly use it negatively about the problems   more...they are facing and imagining the worst thing that could happen to them.

Webster's dictionary defines imagination as "the act or power of forming a mental image of something not present to the senses or never before wholly perceived in reality". In "Think and Grow Rich", most successful personal development book ever written, Napoleon Hill mentioned that, "the impulse, the DESIRE, is given shape, form, and ACTION through the aid of the imaginative faculty of the mind." He also said that a man can create anything which he can imagine. When you set a goal and decided to accomplish by certain time, you need to add imagination factor for the action steps you devised to accomplish the goal. You need to imagine as if you had already accomplished the goal you had set. This is not mandatory, but definitely increases the chances of accomplishing the goal faster. It is recommended that, when you imagine having some thing in possession or having accomplished a goal, you need to feel it emotionally.

It has been proved that mind cannot distinguish between an experience vividly imagined and a real one. There are many experiments, which have proven this fact. Like any other exercise, imagination must be practiced on daily basis. Mind cannot distinguish between negative and positive imagination. It manifests an imagination into reality irrespective of the type of imagination. So it is wise to imagine positively than negatively. There is no concept of time in the realm of God. Even though we put a date on our goal, the actual accomplishment of the goal usually varies because the factors like desire, faith, action, belief have to be in proper proportion in order for your subconscious mind to manifest your goal into reality.
