Raito became closer to L than he ever thought he would become, but in the end, the pressures of being Kira forced him to kill him. However, afterwards, Kira is remorseful of it, and deeply wishes to repent. L's spirit visits him in visions, and he remembers all that they spent together, but it is too late. And in the end, Raito himself is forsaken...
