We marched around for over an hour and came back to the Capitol building. It was a little windy that day and I was trying to hold my RP sign so that caused a lot of camera shake.

No set date of yet...Paul also provided more details on how he sees the event panning out:

"Its more complex and more difficult to do marches throughout the city, I 'm thinking of just having a grand   more...rally. That would be a little easier to manage." he commented.

The Congressman stressed that a show of strength is needed given that the mainstream media has all but concluded that the race for the GOP nomination is over.

"If we have a march on Washington and a couple of thousand show up, it's pretty embarrassing, so it is pretty risky. But if we have a grand showing, it just means the mainstream media will have a much more difficult time ignoring us, and this would encourage everyone to keep the momentum going." Paul said.

Dr. Paul also reminded supporters that the achievements of the last year alone justify the continuation of the campaign:

"It's never going to be the same again, the country will never be the same, the Republican Party won't be the same, because of what has been started here. So this is to me very encouraging."

"With Romney out a lot of people thought 'the whole thing is over' but I haven't accepted that idea, we have to wait and see, things can change and there's been so many bad stories out about McCain and what he really believes in that already the people are backing away from him." the Congressman commented.

Paul also further explained why he has ruled out a third party run, stating

"I don't think it is viable and I think there is so much bias against us to do that, so when you are still in Republican primaries and running as a Republican Congressman, to start talking about being something else, it just doesn't seem very smart. The truth is personally I cannot see how that can happen, it just doesn't seem practical for me."  less

No set date is of yet...In the wake of his call for supporters to march on the capital, presidential candidate Ron Paul has touted some potential dates for the event.

The Congressman revealed to the Alex   more...Jones show two possible windows in the calender that he has in mind:

"It's going to be soon... right now in my mind I am thinking memorial day weekend or 4th of July weekend, depending on the space and the time and on whether people think we need until the extra six weeks to wait until the 4th of July. But it would be pretty neat if we could do something on the 4th of July, that really might be a great time to do it." Dr. Paul stated.  less

Just in case you haven't noticed the mainstream media seems to have already picked our candidate for us! Since Ron Paul has been making waves the Media has decided to do a total blackout on him by only   more...showing their so-called top tier candidates!
You tube would not let me upload the Real Poll data on Dr. Ron Paul claiming that the video is too long....which its not its under 4 minutes in length! My point is I know we are going to be robbed again of our real wishes but at least we can dream right! No man will save us but it would be nice to at least have a president on our side for a change! I believe the cut off day was October 12th to register in order to vote in the primary....but don't quote me...GF  less

The Republican presidential candidate addressed a crowd of students and supporters about   more...key campaign issues.

"Thank you for inviting me to the revolution," Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul said to a crowd of supporters and curious bystanders in front of Tommy Trojan Wednesday afternoon.

The gathering, sponsored by Program Board, attracted students and adults from throughout the Los Angeles area, many of whom were roused to cheer every time the 10-term congressman from Texas heralded points on his libertarian agenda.

Nearly all Paul's policies are based in libertarianism, a political ideology based on individual rights, small government and free markets. While some issues include lower taxes, the dismantling of federal departments and an elimination of spying programs, many of his positions, such as his belief that non-violent drug offenders should be released from prison, break with those of the mainstream Republican base. His most contentious platform is his belief that the United States should immediately withdraw all troops from Iraq, a position he has held since the start of the conflict in 2003.

"He is a libertarian who has found his place in the Republican Party," said Jeffrey Hubbard, organizer of the event and a senior majoring political science and philosophy. "He is trying to bring the party back to a purer form of Republicanism."  less
