Fun way (a magic show) of showing that everybody can recycle and/or reuse "non-rechargeable" alkaline batteries with UFO Martian technology. At the 30Days (30 Days) of Sustainability Festival's   more...Kids Zone. (This is not the same event as the Vancouver CarFree or Car-Free Festival, although these revived batteries would certainly be welcomed by cyclists and biker riders of all ages. One of the grownups appear to be so hypnotized by the Hypnotism Machine that he is almost going crazy trying to figure out why the dead batteries that he brought suddenly came back to life (recharged) by the UFO's circling the dead battery collection. At the end of each magic session, the people (now turned into Martians, and are tested positively with a working Martian-only Detector, each received as many free recharged "non-rechargeable" batteries as they wanted. According to the Mountain Equipment Coop (MEC), such small alkaline batteries allegedly end up as 50%-70% of all [toxic] heavy metals in landfills.  less
