Update: What?!?! This video has not been deleted by any LiveVideo mod? Interesting. What about my last few video's that were deleted from here? Well, thank you oh great lord mod for not deleting more...this   more...video. I guess the mods here must follow some very strict LiveVideo upload rules and so mods are just doing there jobs, yes? Or maybe I did not place those video's in the correct places before uploading them. Hmmm... Oh well.

Next Update: Seems that the video's were deleted due to copy right? Only thing I can think of is the music I used in those video's. The vehicle uses magnets embedded in the pavement to steer itself along its route. With the driver controlling speed but not direction, the vehicle followed its appointed route with precision to the inch. "It's this precision that can make public transit more efficient and reliable," said Han-Shue Tan, a UC Berkeley research engineer. "You can get the precision of a rail system with the flexibility of a bus. It's like making buses into light rail." Researchers believe that by eliminating human error from the driving process, public transportation will become faster, more efficient, and more attractive to people who currently drive private autos. The test rides Friday morning were limited to news reporters, researchers and public transit officials. The guidance system needs more fine-tuning before it can be used to carry fare-paying passengers.  less

Dr. Ralph Gomory is one of the key consultants behind the US Department of Homeland Security's GetReady.gov website.

In this interview he explains how he became   more...concerned that the public should have concrete things it can do to prepare for and respond to the possibility, even the eventuality (as he sees it) of attack.

This is a very disturbing conversation, especially as it is conducted in almost a matter-of-fact, light-hearted manner-- as if the topic of conversation was the weather.

Gomory seems to consider future attacks as inevitable, more numerous, and coming from more sources-- because he believes that the technological know-how to make terror weapons is becoming more widespread.

The impression I got from him is that he considers the growing danger of terrorism as becoming a normal cost of our technologically literate society. He also seems overly confident in society's ability to defend itself-- without speaking of any prospect that people could learn to solve their problems without ever resorting to violence.
