He was arrested when he was on a university science trip .
He got known and the police arrested him.,
He had a fine or prison sentence on him since he as protesting the Karahnjukur damn project.
People attacke the police station tonight and broke windows and the front door.
Then they where peppersprayed and the police got the out - and stood outside in full riot gear .
People threw eggs at the police.
And a couple of hours later - the prisoner was let go .
A unknown man payed his fine - and told the guy in prison ,that if he would not accept that he payed the fine - then people would get hurt.
The guy accepted - and told people outside - that next - it would be revolution.  less

I don’t think it’s right for the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to go into that Catholic church in costume   more...to mock it. The people who go to that church have the right to practice their faith in peace, if the Sisters want to protest or mock the Catholic religion they can do it outside the church. In the face of corrupt contractors, protestors continue to defy the heavily contested illegal route of the proposed m3 motorway in Ireland. These are just normal people who are concerned enough to make   more...a stand against the illegal work, oozing corruption and bigoted ignorance intent on driving a motorway on a highly impractical route through one of the most archaeologically, historically, symbolically and spiritually charged landscapes in Europe, if not the world. There is an alternative route which makes much more sense from an ecological, engineering, archaeological, and financial perspective. However, Irish politicians being the brown envelope loving breed that they are so infamous for being, this route has been completely ignored, sidestepped and brushed under the carpet by the so called powers that be.  less
