Again for those of you who have not see some of my old "Vintage" mini vids, from shows, rehearsals, performances and so on. I will remind you that MOST of these are poor quality because I found OLD DUSTY (some too damage to copy- DRAT!) VHS tapes in the attic. This group of girls, which I think I will be ending up putting like 6 or 7 vids of them, turned out to be some of the BEST PRO Commercial Dancers around, and some went on to do BIG things! Woo Hoo! Makes me feel good to find these tapes and look back at a great group, then to see them go on to be Stars in many fields. Thanks for taking a look, visit often, I'm going to keep adding more surprises. LOL

This is one of quite a few mini vids of bits of dance numbers from many shows I produced and choreographed
to go to certain Major   more...Japanese and other Worldwide Resorts. The actual Shows were very huge production variety shows.
The show would have many "Acts": Singers, Magic, Jugglers, Bear Acts, Tiger Acts, Chimp Acts, AND ... Small Dance Troupe Acts.
So what I will be uploading from time to time are excerpts from different numbers, different cast members,
different shows, different years of those many different "Small Dance Acts" I sent.

(I just replaced original vid of Zebra ... with one (that should be sharper) This is a Professional Female Dancer, rehearsing some of my Choreography for a Show,   more...I think it was about 1982? She is one of the BESTand Strongest Dancers I've EVER known. If you know the "Dance" you will see what I mean at the end when she does so many fuetes IN HIGH HEELS! hehe
I also Designed the Costume with emphasis on the Headpiece... was having her test it out as I had to make them light weight so Dancers could do all those wild "Head Rolls" that were so popular back in the day. Ala Ronnie Lewis.

This is my June 1994 Jazz performance to the Janet Jackson song "Funky Big Band." The costume is VERY early 1990s. I have really short hair (you can't really see my hair under that hat!) and   more...glasses. I was watching this video while I was copying it, and couldn't believe how tall I was - in fact, I'm pretty much that tall now, except Iwas tall for eleven years old. I was in 5th grade at the time.  less

This is my June 1993 Jazz dance, to the Madonna song "White Heat." I was ten years old in fourth grade. I have tried to include a shot of what I look like, and though it is quite blurry, because   more...it is a motion shot I did on Windows Movie Maker, it is easier to ID me. Enjoy!  less

This is my June 1998 dance recital. I was in Teen Jazz and was 15 years old. The song is a heavily-edited version of Smashmouth's "Walkin' on the Sun." I have shoulder-length brown hair,   more...and am the second girl to enter the stage in that close-up shot at the beginning of the dance. I also brush my hair off my shoulder during one part.

I always think of this performance as one of my best (I think everyone has a favorite), and it was also my last year at the studio I attended from 1988 until 1998 - I switched dance studios in the fall.  less

This is my June 1996 dance recital. I was 13 years old and in Jazz 5. The song was Pat Benetar's "Promises in the Dark," which was a great song. My teacher said we were supposed to do either   more...Michael Jackson's "bad" or another Pat Benetar song "Love is a Battlefield," but she chose this one, and it was a great choice.

This is what I affectionately refer to as "the rope dance," and boy did we have fun this year - not just on stage with the ropes, but back stage, where we played rounds of Uno with one of the Ballet classes my Jazz class was roommates with that year. We had quite a competition going on during the times between our routine and finale!

I have dark brown hair and bangs in this show, and my hair is in a high ponytail - I'm the third person in the left line during the slow part. In the final pose, I'm in the group the camera gets a close-up first (I'm on the left - holding my rope and standing up).

By the way, there is a practically silent moment of this song where Pat Benetar yells "1 2 3 4" - you can't hear it, so my teacher had us do it instead - how cool is that?  less
